Our 15kV drop out fuse cutout is the industry-standard short-circuit protection solution for 10-38kV overhead distribution lines and distribution transformers. Manufactured and tested in strict accordance with IEC 60282-2:2008, IEEE Std C37.41-2008 and IEEE Std C37.42-2009 standards, this expulsion fuse cutout offers exceptional economy, easy operation, and outstanding adaptability to harsh outdoor environments. It is widely used for protecting distribution transformers, capacitor banks and line branches, as well as for sectionalizing and switching operations. With rated currents of 100A and 200A and a 12kA rated interrupting capacity, it delivers reliable performance for commercial, industrial and utility power distribution systems worldwide.
Our 15kV fuse cutout is engineered to withstand the most challenging outdoor conditions, from extreme temperatures to heavy rainfall and high ultraviolet radiation. This long-lasting durability translates to lower maintenance costs and fewer unplanned outages over the product's 20+ year service life.
We offer both porcelain and polymer insulator options to meet your specific project requirements:
Porcelain Insulators: The porcelain body connects with hardware fittings using premium Por-Rok anchoring cement manufactured by CGM INC from the USA. This high-performance cement features rapid solidification, high mechanical strength, low expansion coefficient and superior weather resistance, ensuring a permanent, crack-free bond.
Polymer Insulators: Hardware fittings are crimped onto a high-strength fiberglass rod, with the housing and sheds made of high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber. The one-piece injection molding process provides excellent sealing performance and superior tracking and erosion resistance.
All ferrous components undergo a rigorous hot dip galvanizing process, resulting in a minimum zinc coating thickness of 86μm. This thick, uniform coating provides exceptional corrosion resistance, making our overhead line fuse cutouts ideal for use in coastal areas with high salt spray and industrial environments with corrosive atmospheres.
Our fuse cutout adopts an innovative single vent design that directs exhaust gases downwards and outwards during fault interruption. This design prevents rainwater intrusion into the fuse body, eliminates damage to upper line components from hot gases, and significantly improves the overall interrupting capacity. Unlike traditional multi-vent designs, our single vent system ensures consistent performance even in heavy rain conditions.
All copper casting parts are made of high-grade bronze or brass, providing excellent mechanical strength and electrical conductivity. All contact surfaces are silver-plated and feature a convex design that reduces contact resistance and ensures reliable current transfer. High-strength memory copper alloy sheets maintain consistent contact pressure even after repeated fuse drop-out operations. An arc-shortening copper rod is included to further enhance short-circuit interrupting capacity.
For loadbreak type fuse cutouts, the arc chamber is constructed from special reinforced nylon material. This material offers excellent mechanical strength, anti-aging properties and flame retardancy, making it suitable for use in high ultraviolet areas, high altitude areas, coastal areas and other demanding environments. When used with a portable loadbreak tool, it functions much like an overhead line disconnect switch for safe switching operations.
Every 15kV expulsion fuse cutout we manufacture is designed and tested to meet the latest international standards: IEC 60282-2:2008, IEEE Std C37.41-2008 and IEEE Std C37.42-2009. This ensures compatibility with global power distribution systems and provides peace of mind for electrical engineers and system operators.
