HAIVOL Fuse Cutout
HAIVOL Fuse Cutout series features the Expulsion Fuse Cutout (dropout fuse) as its core, complemented by Fuse Links (fusible cores) and Current-Limiting Fuse (current-limiting high-voltage fuses). These fuses are designed for sectionalizing, protection, and maintenance in medium-voltage power distribution. The complete solution combines selectivity, environmental adaptability, and lifecycle low maintenance, helping utilities and industrial users steadily reduce faults, improve efficiency, and lower total cost of ownership.
Feature Box
Weatherproof
Porcelain or polymer (silicone rubber) insulation resists UV, pollution, and coastal salt fog, maintaining creepage and surface performance in harsh climates. Single-direction, downward arc-gas venting helps protect adjacent hardware during storms, icing, or blowing sand.
Reliable
The drop-out design creates a visible air gap after operation, reducing mis-closing risk and speeding patrol confirmation. Silver-plated contacts, galvanized/stainless hardware, and optional loadbreak arc control keep contact resistance stable and switching consistent over long service intervals.
Cost-efficient
A simple architecture with quick-replace fuse links minimizes maintenance time and spares complexity. Standard footprints and hot-stick operation shorten installation and outage windows—delivering protection and isolation at a lower total cost than breaker-based lateral schemes.
HAIVOL Fuse Cutout Series

Expulsion Fuse Cutout - Severe-weather visible isolation.
A drop-out tube creates a clear air gap crews can verify from the ground—even in heavy rain, salt fog, snow, or icing. Single-direction downward venting and porcelain/polymer insulation keep arc gases and contaminants away from adjacent hardware, so faults are sectionalized faster and restoration is safer with fewer mis-operations.
Fuse links for expulsion fuse cutout
Certified to trip the nearest fuse—not the whole line. Type-tested to IEC 60282-2 and IEEE C37, our K/T/H and slow/fast links have calibrated response times so the link closest to the fault operates first. That means upstream gear stays closed, outages are confined to one section, and coordination and spare stocking remain simple across 11–38 kV.

Current-limiting fuse
Full-range, fast-acting transformer protection—current-limiting HRC with certified striker options. Rated 7.2–40.5 kV and 6.3–200 A, it offers full-range performance at 12 kV and 24 kV, extremely quick operation with low power dissipation/temperature rise, and pyrotechnic or spring strikers—all type-tested to GB/IEC/DIN/BS for dependable isolation of transformer primaries.
Why Choose HAIVOL
Complete MV protection
From expulsion fuse cutouts and coordinated fuse links to cabinet-grade current-limiting fuses, our portfolio covers overhead lines and switchgear end-to-end—type-tested to IEC/IEEE for predictable protection and easier sourcing.
Built for severe weather, built to last
Porcelain or polymer insulation, corrosion-resistant hardware, and downward expulsion venting deliver visible isolation and stable performance in rain, salt fog, snow, and heat—supporting faster, safer restoration.
Configurable and low-TCO operations

For over a century, insulators have been the silent, steadfast guardians of electrical power transmission and distribution. Their primary function is simple yet critical: to support or separate electrical conductors without allowing unwanted current flow. Traditionally associated with overhead power lines and substations, these components are experiencing a renaissance, finding innovative and demanding applications in two rapidly evolving sectors: modern railways and new energy systems. This evolution moves them far beyond their conventional role, making them enablers of efficiency, safety, and sustainability.Technical Resources -
In the vast, interconnected web of the modern power grid, stability is non-negotiable. While transformers, circuit breakers, and conductors often command attention, a silent, ubiquitous class of components works relentlessly to maintain this stability under the planet's harshest conditions: insulators. More than mere supports, they are precisely engineered barriers against electrical breakdown. Their design is a continuous battle against nature's extremes, where failure is not an option. This article delves into how advanced insulator design serves as the critical frontline defense for grid reliability in the face of severe environmental adversity.Technical Resources -
For over a century, insulators have served as the silent, steadfast guardians of electrical power systems. Their fundamental mission—to mechanically support conductors while electrically isolating them from grounded structures—remains unchanged. However, the materials and technologies enabling this critical function have undergone a profound transformation. The journey from traditional ceramic insulators to modern composite polymer insulators represents not just a change in substance, but a significant leap in performance, reliability, and application scope. This article explores this pivotal technological evolution.Technical Resources
