On-site inquiries covered the company’s seven core product categories: insulators, surge arresters, drop-out fuses, disconnect switches, cold-shrink and heat-shrink cable terminations and joints, separable connectors, and Overhead Line Hardware Fittings. Rather than inquiring about a single model, visiting customers focused on the technical interfaces between product lines, standards compliance, environmental adaptability, and sensitivity to installation workmanship.

1. Insulation and Overvoltage Protection: Insulators, Surge Arresters, Drop-Out Fuses

Inquiries on insulators centered on the matching of creepage distance to pollution level, the material selection boundary between porcelain and composite insulators, and mechanical load versus long-term aging performance. For surge arresters, customers focused on the non-linear voltage-current characteristics of zinc-oxide varistors, housing sealing structures, the operational reliability of pressure-relief devices, and aging criteria under coastal humidity, industrial pollution, and high-low temperature cycling. For drop-out fuses, discussions centered on interruption consistency and operation repeatability: conventional products rely on the arc-quenching tube to generate a gas blast and on gravity to drop the fuse carrier for a visible isolation point; protected products use a mechanical retention structure to constrain the behavior of the fuse tube assembly during arc-quenching, improving operation consistency under different fault levels.

2. Isolation and Sectionalizing: Disconnect Switch

On-site technical exchanges on disconnect switches focused on the reliability of the visible isolation gap, anti-corrosion performance of contact plating, long-term stability of mechanical interlocking, and operation consistency of the operating mechanism under different climate profiles. A commonly raised question was how to maintain stable contact pressure and a clear isolation gap after repeated operations in overhead distribution line sectionalizing and maintenance isolation scenarios.

3. Cable Connection and Accessories: Cold/Heat-Shrink Terminations, Joints, Separable Connectors

Inquiries on cold-shrink and heat-shrink cable terminations and joints focused on electric field control methods, interface sealing, and sensitivity to installation workmanship. Cold-shrink accessories rely on pre-expanded elastomer structures to achieve interface pressure, while heat-shrink accessories rely on heat contraction to restore sealing and insulation. The two processes place different demands on installation environment, cleanliness, and operating discipline; customers were concerned with maintaining interface performance under humid, polluted, or low-temperature installation conditions. For separable connectors, discussions covered interface mating dimensions, insulation shielding structures, current-carrying capacity, and the effect of mating cycles on contact resistance in ring main unit and cable branch applications. For these accessory products, the technical boundary often lies not in the bulk material but in the matching of installation workmanship and interface engineering.

4. Load-Bearing and Fixing: Overhead Line Hardware Fittings

On-site inquiries on power fittings focused on mechanical load ratings, material and coating anti-corrosion systems, matching dimensions with insulators and conductors, and grip strength and slip performance under different line conditions. Customers were concerned with the system-level compatibility between fittings and insulators, conductors, fuses, and other equipment, rather than isolated parameters.

During this Canton Fair, inquiries from new and existing customers about Haivo Electrical’s seven core product lines amounted to a concentrated review of the technical boundaries across these product lines. This technical sharing column will subsequently compile the high-frequency on-site technical questions for reference by peers across the global distribution industry. New and existing customers are welcome to continue exchanges through official channels on standards compliance, environmental adaptability, installation workmanship, and product selection for specific products.
