Introduction

As critical protection devices in distribution networks, drop-out fuses' operational reliability and interruption accuracy directly impact grid safety. Traditional fuses face challenges including action time deviation and limited fault-type adaptability. This study integrates multi-sensor monitoring, adaptive algorithms, and digital twin technology to achieve dynamic optimization of operation characteristics and precise interruption control.


 



Key Technological Breakthroughs

1. Multi-parameter Sensing System

  - Integrated temperature/current/arc sensors with 10ms-level data acquisition  

  - DL-based fault feature extraction (accuracy ≥98.2%)  


2. Precision Interruption Control

  - Vacuum interrupter + magnetic arc control  

  - Action time dispersion reduced from ±15ms to ±2ms  

  - Arc energy decreased by 40% (Fig 1)

Experimental Validation  

Tests on 35kV distribution network simulation platform:

1. 80% reduction in false operations  

2. Fault location accuracy to pole-level with SCADA  

3. ~30% extension of service life
