Type K Fuse Link Selection For Using Of Distribution Transformer Protection
The corresponding fuse is selected according to the time-current characteristics of the transformer,
usually according to the rated current of the transformer.
NOTE: Rated capacity of transformer ≤160kVA,the rated current of the selected fuse links should be 2-3 times of the full load current of the transfor-mer, Rated capacity of transformer ≥160kVA,the rated current of the selected fuse links should be 1.5-2 times of the full load current of the transformer.
Precision-engineered fuse elements ensure consistent tripping performance, avoiding false operation under normal load and guaranteeing reliable cutoff during short circuits. This reduces unplanned power outages and extends service life for transformers and connected equipment.
High density arc tubes support rapid arc extinction with no re ignition, even under low overload currents. This improves system safety and stability for outdoor distribution networks and industrial power facilities.
Reinforced connections and high strength strain wires maintain structural integrity under outdoor weather, mechanical vibration, and impulse current impact. This reduces replacement frequency and lowers long term operational costs.
Available with single or twin pigtail designs to suit different cutout structures. Twin pigtail models allow faster and more secure installation, improving on-site efficiency for large scale grid projects and maintenance teams.
HAIVOL 11–15kV fuse links are widely used in:
Distribution transformer protection (10kVA up to 2000kVA)
Overhead distribution line protection
Outdoor substation branch circuits
Urban and rural power grid renovation projects
Industrial power supply systems and utility infrastructure
